A team led by CCD Malkwal In-charge Raza Elahi Butt conducted a major operation in Garh Qaim. They arrested the notorious drug dealer Baba Akram (son of Noor Muhammad Garhana) while he was selling narcotics in the streets of Garh Qaim; he was found in possession of over 2 kilograms of ‘Ice’ (crystal methamphetamine) along with significant quantities of hashish and opium. Baba Akram had been openly selling drugs in Garh Qaim for a long time, and the CCD has now put an end to this chapter of a major social evil. The CCD police, led by Sub-Inspector Raza Elahi Butt, executed a successful raid, recovering high-quality ‘Ice’ worth approximately 5 million (50 lakh) rupees, arresting the accused, and registering a case against him. The drug trade had been rampant in the CCD Malkwal circle for quite some time; the area known as Garh Qaim was a major hub where notorious dealers had established such a strong network that they would receive tip-offs about impending raids well in advance. DSP CCD Aamir Abbas Shirazi stated that CCD Malkwal In-charge Raza Elahi Butt successfully dismantled this robust network by arresting the well-known dealer red-handed, recovering nearly two kilograms of ‘Ice’ valued at 5 million rupees, and initiating further legal proceedings against the accused. Civil society circles and citizens have paid glowing tribute to DSP CCD Syed Amir Abbas Shirazi and In-charge of the Malakwal Sub-division, Raza Elahi Butt, for the positive actions taken by the CCD.
