Behtar Qadam, Nai Soch Kay Sath’ Holds Awareness Seminar at DHQ Toba Tek Singh

Toba Tek Singh: Under the Punjab Government’s flagship initiative “Behtar Qadam, Nai Soch Kay Sath” (Better Steps, With a New Vision), a dignified awareness seminar was organized at the District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) Toba Tek Singh under the Punjab Family Planning Programme to promote awareness regarding reproductive health, family well-being, maternal and child health and sustainable household prosperity.

The event was organized with the collaboration of RAYN and RIZ Consulting and was attended by religious scholars, health department officials, medical experts, administrative representatives and people from various walks of life.Punjab Family Planning Programme Divisional Coordinator Anwaar Ahmed participated as a special guest.

Addressing the gathering, he said that the Punjab Government is taking practical measures at different levels to provide citizens with accurate information on reproductive health, family planning and household well-being while promoting a positive mindset within society.He said the programme is providing an effective platform for dialogue among the public, experts and religious leaders to eliminate misconceptions and enable people to make informed, healthy and responsible decisions.During the event, experts from the health and administrative sectors conducted special sessions on key issues including population growth trends, family welfare, reproductive health, personal hygiene, maternal and child care and economic stability

.Speakers emphasized that family planning is not merely a tool for maintaining population balance but also a foundation for improving maternal and child health, increasing educational opportunities, strengthening economic stability and promoting overall social development.

Anwaar Ahmed said that the Punjab Family Planning Programme is an important flagship initiative of the Punjab Government aimed at improving family well-being through accessible information, respectful counselling and quality services. He added that, with the support of the World Bank, the programme is playing an effective role across the province in improving maternal and child health indicators and strengthening family prosperity.

He further said that “Behtar Qadam, Nai Soch Kay Sath” continues its journey as a trusted public partner in all 41 districts of Punjab, with the objective of providing future generations with a safe, healthy and prosperous future and empowering them to make informed decisions.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, participants appreciated the Punjab Government’s initiative and reaffirmed their commitment to making collective efforts for the development of healthy, balanced and prosperous families in society.
