Religious and Political Leaders Condemn Raid on Leader’s House in Chaman
District Ameer of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Maulana Abdul Mannan, member of the Central Shura and Mohtamim of Jamia Islamia Allama Abdul Ghani Town Maulana Hafiz Muhammad Yousaf, Maulana Mufti Muhammad Qasim, Sheikh-ul-Hadith Maulana Muhammad Sadiq, Abdul Malik Barech, District Chairman Haji Amanullah Achakzai, Maulana Muhammad Ayub and other workers addressed an emergency crowded press conference at the Chaman Press Club.
They said that last night, personnel of security institutions dressed in official uniforms raided the house of JUI district deputy ameer Maulana Muhammad Ayub and violated the sanctity of the home and privacy of the family. They stated that the workers of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam cannot be intimidated through such tactics.
The speakers said, “Our decency should never be considered weakness. We believe in democratic, constitutional, and legal politics in Pakistan.”
They demanded immediate action against the officials involved in the operation and added that if any worker of JUI has any issue, they are ready for dialogue everywhere. However, this does not mean that attempts should be made to harass their workers, and they will not allow anyone to do so.
