Balochistan Budget 2026-27 to Focus on Development and Public Welfare: CM Sarfraz Bugti

Chief Minister of Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti has reaffirmed the provincial government’s commitment to presenting a development-oriented and people-friendly budget for the fiscal year 2026-27, emphasizing that the budget will be formulated in consultation with all stakeholders and will reflect the aspirations of the people of Balochistan.
An important consultative meeting of the parliamentary committee on the upcoming provincial budget was held at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat on Saturday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti.
The meeting was attended by parliamentary leaders from the Pakistan Muslim League (N), Pakistan Peoples Party, Balochistan Awami Party, Jamaat-e-Islami, and the Awami National Party (ANP).
Extensive Consultations on Budget Priorities
Participants held detailed discussions regarding the preparation of the provincial budget for the upcoming fiscal year, focusing on development priorities and public welfare initiatives. Recommendations were presented concerning education, healthcare, clean drinking water, communications, energy, municipal services, and infrastructure development across the province.
Addressing the meeting, Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti stated that the government is determined to present a balanced, realistic, and public-centered budget aligned with the development needs of Balochistan and prevailing economic realities.
He emphasized that the opinions and recommendations of all political parties and elected representatives are valuable and that constructive proposals would be incorporated into the budget-making process.
Public Welfare to Remain Top Priority
The Chief Minister highlighted that the upcoming budget will place special emphasis on:
- Education sector development
- Healthcare improvements
- Employment generation
- Infrastructure enhancement
- Strengthening social services
- Clean drinking water projects
- Municipal services improvement
He noted that the government’s primary focus is on projects that directly improve the lives of ordinary citizens and contribute to the province’s social and economic progress.
Focus on Underdeveloped Areas
Mir Sarfraz Bugti reiterated that bringing remote, backward, and underserved regions of Balochistan into the national development mainstream remains one of the government’s highest priorities.
He assured participants that equitable distribution of resources and balanced regional development would be ensured so that every district can benefit equally from development initiatives.
“The government is committed to ensuring that all regions of Balochistan receive their fair share of development opportunities and public services,” he said.
Transparency and Accountability
The Chief Minister stressed that transparency, quality, accountability, and public need would remain the guiding principles for the selection and execution of development projects.
He acknowledged the challenges posed by limited resources but maintained that the government is taking practical measures to maximize public relief while accelerating the pace of development throughout the province.

Bugti stated that collective wisdom, political harmony, and broad-based consultation are essential for achieving sustainable development, economic stability, and long-term prosperity in Balochistan.
He reiterated that the provincial government would continue to engage all stakeholders in the budget-making process to ensure that the final budget reflects the province’s development goals and public expectations.
Participants in the meeting appreciated the government’s decision to consult political parties during budget preparations and expressed their commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at the development and welfare of the people of Balochistan.
