Mandi Bahauddin Traffic Police Launch Special Crackdown Against Underage Drivers and Illegal Number Plates
Mandi Bahauddin (By Raja Muhammad Ayub): Muhammad Ilyas, the District Traffic Officer of Mandi Bahauddin, has announced the launch of a special crackdown in the district against underage drivers and vehicles featuring tinted windows, non-standard number plates, or unauthorized green license plates.
Strict action will be taken against any cars, motorcycles, or rickshaws operated by underage drivers. The parents of such drivers will be summoned to provide a written undertaking that their children will not drive until they obtain a valid license, after which the minors will be handed back to their parents.
Speaking exclusively to Raja Muhammad Ayub—District Bureau Chief for Samaa and PTV News representative in Mandi Bahauddin—Muhammad Ilyas stated that, under the leadership of Punjab Traffic Police DIG Waqas Nazir and the supervision of District Police Officer Kamran Amir Khan, the campaign against vehicles with tinted windows, motorcycles lacking number plates, and unauthorized individuals using green license plates has been intensified.
To raise public awareness regarding these issues, a traffic police team led by Sub-Inspector Irfan Nawaz Ranjha (In-charge, Education Wing) is visiting various bus terminals and taxi stands to brief drivers, as well as schools and colleges to deliver lectures on traffic laws and safety awareness to students.
