World Powers’ Plans Are Extremely Dangerous, Says Maulana Fazlur Rehman at Historic Pishin Conference
PISHIN : Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) organized a historic conference titled “Protection of Religious Seminaries and Rights of Balochistan” in Pishin, drawing thousands of participants from across the province. The event’s chief guest was JUI-F Central Ameer Maulana Fazlur Rehman, who addressed a massive gathering at the Pishin Sports Complex Stadium.
The stadium was filled to capacity, while thousands more supporters gathered along surrounding roads to witness the event. Senior party leaders, religious scholars, elected representatives, and workers from various districts attended the conference.
Prior to the gathering, Maulana Fazlur Rehman was briefed at the Pishin Rest House by MPA Asghar Khan Tareen, MPA Sardarzada Syed Zafar Ali Agha, and officials from various departments regarding ongoing development projects and administrative performance in the district. Provincial Ameer Maulana Abdul Wasey and other party leaders were also present.
Extensive security and organizational arrangements were made jointly by the provincial and district administrations along with JUI-F’s Ansarul Islam Force. Among those who addressed the conference were Provincial Ameer Maulana Abdul Wasey, Provincial General Secretary Syed Agha, Maulana Mahmood Shah, Maulana Hafiz Hamdullah, Sheikh-ul-Hadith Maulana Faiz Muhammad, Maulana Salahuddin Ayubi, Maulana Hafiz Muhammad Yousaf, Hafiz Hussain Ahmed Sharodi, and Malik Sikandar Khan Advocate.
As Maulana Fazlur Rehman arrived at the venue, thousands of participants welcomed him with loud slogans and applause.
Addressing the gathering, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that if Pakistan today presents an image of unity and national cohesion, significant credit goes to Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam. He claimed that JUI-F has emerged as the country’s largest street power and stated that the massive turnout in Pishin was further proof of the party’s public support.
He expressed concern over the country’s law-and-order situation, stating that citizens’ lives and property remain insecure. He alleged that organized efforts are underway to create divisions among brotherly nations through nationalism and extremism, adding that JUI-F would continue to resist such attempts.
Commenting on national politics, Maulana Fazlur Rehman criticized discussions surrounding a proposed constitutional amendment and called on political parties to uphold constitutional principles. He emphasized that Pakistan’s internal and foreign policy decisions should be debated and presented through elected parliamentary institutions.
Referring to regional developments, he warned that the ongoing tensions involving the United States, Israel, and Iran indicate the beginning of a dangerous geopolitical game in the region. He stressed that the only effective path for protecting the Muslim Ummah lies in unity and cooperation through a common platform.
The JUI-F chief also called for transparent and credible elections, arguing that Pakistan’s future stability depends upon a democratic process that genuinely reflects the will of the people. He maintained that the solution to national challenges lies in free and fair elections rather than political engineering.
Speaking about Balochistan, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that JUI-F would continue to defend the province’s rights and resources. He warned against policies that, in his view, undermine local ownership and participation in development.
While acknowledging certain positive national efforts, he said constructive criticism should not be interpreted as opposition to national interests. He added that where institutions perform effectively, they deserve appreciation, but unjust actions should also be challenged.
The conference concluded with renewed calls for the protection of religious seminaries, the safeguarding of constitutional rights, national unity, and greater attention to the political and economic concerns of Balochistan.
