Police sources have confirmed that a police official was martyred yesterday as a result of indiscriminate firing by unidentified armed assailants in the Roghani outskirts of Chaman. Reports circulating about another police official being injured are entirely unfounded and hold no truth.
According to police authorities, the polio vaccination team remained completely safe during the incident. Following the attack, the police force launched large-scale investigations and search operations across the area. Police sources further stated that the polio campaign in Chaman district is continuing uninterrupted, and all police personnel have been directed to remain on high alert.
Meanwhile, Balochistan Police Chief DIG Tahir Mahmood and Provincial Interior Minister Ali Madad Jatak strongly condemned the incident and expressed deep sorrow over the martyrdom. They emphasized that acts of terrorism cannot weaken the resolve of the nation. The martyrs of the police force are the true heroes of the country, and their sacrifices are a source of life, strength, and pride for the nation.
