Police recovered the bodies of five people from two separate areas of Bannu district on Monday night, and all five appeared to have been shot dead. Assistant Sub-Inspector Tayyab Khan told The Express Tribune on Tuesday that the motive and circumstances of the Bannu killings remain unclear.
