Jeddah (Special Correspondent) – The Hew Works Foundation organized a grand event in Jeddah to honor Dr. Saleh Batterjee in celebration of Saudi Arabia’s 96th National Day.
The event was organized by Saudi women of Pakistani origin, led by Nausheen Waseem. A large number of high-ranking Saudi officials attended the magnificent National Day celebration, which also saw special invitations extended to journalists from Pakistan, Bangladesh, and the Philippines. The organizers specifically invited Amir Muhammad Khan Khattak, Chairman of the Pakistan Journalists Forum. Highlighting the enduring friendship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, Amir Muhammad Khan stated, “We are proud that Saudi Arabia is Pakistan’s dearest friend; we are two bodies with one soul and stand united in significant agreements.” He extended his congratulations on the National Day to the Saudi people, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. In his address, Dr. Saleh Batterjee expressed his gratitude for the National Day greetings conveyed by Pakistanis residing in Saudi Arabia. The event was attended by dignitaries, senior officials, prominent business figures, and notable personalities from Jeddah’s social sphere, including Saleh Sedqi Batterjee, Osama Tarabulsi, Zohair bin Abdulaziz, Hassan Saleh Al-Ammari, Ahmed Al-Hakmi (a key figure behind the renowned Al-Baraka organization), and various Saudi poets. The poets recited odes in honor of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince. The event aimed to foster connections between diverse cultures, strengthen community ties, and promote mutual interaction and harmony among the various nationalities residing in Saudi Arabia. A beautiful and cordial atmosphere prevailed throughout the event. The participants exchanged greetings on Saudi National Day and discussed Saudi Arabia’s developmental progress, the rapid growth taking place in the country, the importance of national unity, and the role of society in the journey of development. Members of the Pakistan Journalists Forum (PJF) present at the event demonstrated solidarity with Saudi Arabia by waving the Saudi flag. The Saudi guests emphasized that such social and cultural events are excellent initiatives for further strengthening Saudi-Pak relations and bringing the peoples of both countries closer together. The PJF expressed its gratitude to Nosheen Waseem Ahmed; following the dinner, a female singer performed beautiful songs.
