Preserving the Historical Traits of the Pashtun Nation is the Real Strength and Education is its Safeguard: Syed Sardar Khondai

A dignified ceremony was organized at the city’s renowned educational institution, Iqra Ilmi Markaz Boys Section, on the occasion of Pashtun Culture Day.
On this historic occasion, students of the institution delivered speeches and presented Pashto poetry, while two different groups performed the traditional Pashtun Attan and won great appreciation from the audience.
The chief guest of the ceremony was senior journalist and columnist Syed Sardar Muhammad Khondai. The teachers of the institution, including Juma Khan Achakzai, Amanullah Shadman and Naseebullah Achakzai, honored him by wearing the traditional turban (Dastar), while hundreds of students welcomed him with thunderous applause.
The ceremony formally began with the recitation of the Holy Quran by the talented student Qudratullah, followed by the national anthem. Nematullah, Naseebullah and Syed Zubair Ahmad delivered remarkable speeches on the occasion. The duties of stage secretary were performed by the distinguished teacher of the institution, Amanullah Shadman.
Addressing the ceremony, chief guest Syed Sardar Muhammad Khondai said that the traits and characteristics of the Pashtun nation are thousands of years old and are still the identity of our national recognition today. The honor, hospitality, compassion, sympathy, worship, sacrifice and selflessness of this nation are still fully alive today.
He further said that along with keeping these historical traits alive, we need to pay special attention to education in this era of modern technology. It is not enough to just live on our traits, but in this era, the Pashtun nation will also have to move forward in the field of education.
