Pakistani Catholic Bishops to Visit Vatican and Rome from May 11 to 16
Collective Meeting with Pope Leo XIV Scheduled for May 15, Discussions to Focus on Church Affairs and Interfaith Harmony

Bishop Dr. Indrias Rehmat of the Diocese of Faisalabad has said that members of the Pakistan Catholic Bishops’ Conference will pay an important visit to Rome and the Vatican from May 11 to 16, 2026, where they will also meet Pope Leo XIV.
The “Ad Limina” visit is held every five years with the purpose of strengthening relations and communication between Catholic bishops around the world and the Pope. During the visit, the Pakistani bishops will hold meetings with officials of various Vatican departments and discuss matters relating to the Christian community in Pakistan, church affairs, challenges faced by the community, and interfaith harmony.
Bishop Dr. Indrias Rehmat stated that every bishop had already sent a detailed report regarding the condition of the Church in his respective region to the Vatican so that the Pope could be informed about the current situation of the Church in Pakistan.
The statement further said that the collective meeting of Pakistani bishops with Pope Leo XIV will take place on May 15. The delegation will also participate in special prayer services at major churches in Rome during the visit.
Bishop Dr. Indrias Rehmat appealed to the public to pray for the success of the visit and for global peace.
