Thousands Attend Chaman Conference Marking 7th Martyrdom Anniversary of Maulana Muhammad Hanif

Religious and political leaders pay tribute to the late scholar, raise concerns over Balochistan’s security situation and announce a planned protest movement

CHAMAN: Thousands of people attended a grand conference at Jamia Darul Uloom Islamia in Chaman to mark the seventh martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed-e-Islam Maulana Muhammad Hanif (RA). The event was organized under the auspices of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) and brought together religious scholars, political leaders and supporters.

Security arrangements for the conference were managed by the Jamiat Ansar-ul-Islam Force.

Religious and Political Leaders Address the Conference

The conference was addressed by several prominent religious and political figures, including JUI Provincial Ameer Senator Maulana Abdul Wasey, Maulana Mufti Muhammad Qasim, Provincial General Secretary Maulana Agha Mahmood Shah, Provincial Patron Maulana Hafiz Muhammad Yusuf, Maulana Mufti Ghulam Haider, Haji Nawaz Khan Kakar and Provincial Finance Secretary Haji Ghausullah Achakzai.

Other speakers included District Chaman Ameer Maulana Abdul Manan, Maulana Musa Gul, Shaikh-ul-Hadith Maulana Sharaf-ud-Din, District Qila Abdullah Ameer Maulana Fateh Muhammad, JTI Provincial President Hikmatullah Kakar, Maulana Mufti Hamdullah and JTI Provincial General Secretary Abdul Manan Kakar.

The gathering was also attended by Shaikh-ul-Hadith Maulana Gul Muhammad, Maulana Shamsullah, Chairman Haji Amanullah, Shaikh-ul-Hadith Maulana Muhammad Sadiq, Qari Saleemullah, Maulana Muhammad Mir, Maulana Dad Muhammad, Maulana Khair Muhammad, Maulana Abdul Wali, Mufti Muhammad Muslim Aajiz, Maulana Wazir Muhammad, Maulana Abdul Manan, Haji Attaullah, Maulana Abdus Sattar, Maulana Nematullah, Hafiz Nematullah Nomani, Maulvi Abdul Khaliq Sani and other religious scholars.

Speakers Pay Tribute to Maulana Muhammad Hanif

Addressing the gathering, the speakers paid tribute to the religious, regional and political services of Shaheed-e-Islam Maulana Muhammad Hanif (RA).

They said his contributions would be remembered and his legacy would continue to hold significance for his followers and the wider community.

Concerns Raised Over Law and Order in Balochistan

The speakers expressed concern over the deteriorating law and order situation in Balochistan, saying that insecurity had made life increasingly difficult for the public.

They alleged that religious scholars and students were being killed and that responsibility was subsequently attributed to extremist organizations to deflect accountability.

The speakers announced that Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam would soon launch a province-wide protest movement against the prevailing unrest.

Demand for Safer Highways and Public Protection

The conference participants called on the Government of Pakistan and the relevant institutions to take immediate and effective measures to improve security across Balochistan.

They specifically demanded safer travel on the province’s highways and stronger measures to protect the lives and property of the public.

The gathering concluded with renewed calls for improved law and order, greater public safety and action to address the security challenges facing Balochistan.
