Muhammad Amer Khan’s Prominent Role in Strengthening Pakistan–Saudi Arabia Cooperation

Saudi-born businessman and investor Muhammad Amir Khan has recently been appointed as an Honorary Investment Counselor (HIC) by Pakistan’s Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) and the Prime Minister’s Office of Pakistan. Following this appointment, he has been actively contributing to the promotion of bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia in key sectors, including investment, trade, sports, workforce development, healthcare, and education.

Muhammad Amer Khan has played a significant role in advancing cricket cooperation between the two countries. Through his sustained efforts, an important collaboration was established under which the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will develop a world-class cricket stadium in Jeddah. The project is expected to promote the growth of cricket in Saudi Arabia while further strengthening sporting ties between the two brotherly nations.

In the field of workforce development, Muhammad Amer Khan has also made notable contributions. He has been working closely with leading Saudi companies, including Nesma, Saudi Binladin Group, SAMASCO, and other major organizations, to expand employment opportunities for skilled Pakistani professionals and workers. His efforts are aimed at increasing the participation of Pakistani talent across various sectors in Saudi Arabia and facilitating greater access to work visa opportunities.

In healthcare and medical education, Muhammad Amer Khan has helped facilitate a significant initiative between Al Hayat National Hospitals Group and Pakistan’s Khyber Medical College. Under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), five state-of-the-art paramedical colleges are planned to be established in Abha and its surrounding areas in Saudi Arabia. The Al Hayat National Hospitals Group will oversee the development and management of these institutions, while Khyber Medical College will provide academic and professional collaboration. This initiative is expected to strengthen medical education in Saudi Arabia while creating new opportunities for Pakistani medical professionals, faculty members, and students.

Muhammad Amer Khan’s continued efforts are expected to further strengthen the economic, educational, social, and sporting partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. These initiatives are anticipated to enhance bilateral cooperation in investment, employment, healthcare, education, and sports, paving the way for broader strategic collaboration and long-term mutual development between the two countries.
