A massive public gathering was held at Yadbaz Muhammad Shaheed Park in Zhob city, organized by the Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) to commemorate the martyrs of October 7 and October 11.

The gathering was addressed by PkMAP Chairman, Head of Tehreek-e-Tahafuz-e-Ain-e-Pakistan and Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Mehmood Khan Achakzai, Nawab Ayaz Khan Jogezai, and other central and provincial leaders of the party.

Pakistan Facing Severe Crisis, Says Achakzai

In his presidential address, Mehmood Khan Achakzai said that Pakistan is standing on the brink of the worst crisis in its history, and the only way out of this crisis is to speak the truth, have a free parliament, and uphold the supremacy of the Constitution.

He said the current government has been imposed on the country through a fake mandate, and there will be no negotiations without meeting Imran Khan.

For meaningful negotiations, he said, it is essential that everyone’s respect is maintained and issues are resolved by sitting together.

“I will not meet anyone in the Prime Minister’s House or the Speaker’s office, no matter what happens,” he said.

Call for True Democracy

He said that true democracy is the only solution to all the country’s problems.

“It cannot be that fake representatives are imposed on the people while defeating the genuine representatives. According to the free election commission, Imran Khan’s party PTI won the most seats in the last elections, but they were not allowed to form the government and he has been kept in jail illegally. This is not how a country can be run,” he added.

He appealed to all political parties to adopt a democratic and constitutional path to save Pakistan, otherwise the situation in the country will worsen further.

“Protest is the constitutional right of every citizen. The establishment should come to its senses; running the affairs of the country is the job of political parties,” he said.

Concerns Over Pashtun Land

Referring to Pashtunkhwa Watan, he said that under the name of allotment, centuries-old lands of the people are being occupied, which is unacceptable under any circumstances.

“Here, every inch of land of every khel and tribe is known, it is hidden from no one.”

Remarks on Pashtun Nation

He further said that world powers are not leaving the Pashtun nation alone because it is a historic, honorable and dignified nation and its land is full of natural treasures.

The Pashtun nation has always preferred to live an honorable life.

The country can survive on the basis of equality rather than by breaking it, but now all doors from education to business have been closed for the Pashtun nation.
