Pakistan Consul General Syed Mustafa Rabbani praises MASA’s community services as students receive recognition and Imran Maskatia receives the Edhi Award
JEDDAH (Amir Muhammad Khan): The Memon Welfare Society (MASA) held its 14th Annual Education Awards 2026 at a local hall in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, recognizing students for their achievements and highlighting the organization’s community welfare services.
Pakistan Consul General in Jeddah Syed Mustafa Rabbani attended the ceremony as chief guest. A large number of students and community members participated in the event.
Addressing the gathering, Rabbani praised MASA’s humanitarian and social welfare activities. He said the Pakistan Consulate supported the organization’s positive initiatives and described its community services as a source of pride for Pakistanis.
MASA President Waseem Abdul Razaq Tai welcomed the consul general and praised his work in Jeddah. He also congratulated the successful students and their parents on their achievements.
MASA Vice President Khalid Tanoma delivered a short speech, encouraging students to continue working towards their educational goals. General Secretary Kaleem Jitpurwala also addressed the younger generation.
A special tribute was paid to renowned humanitarian Abdul Sattar Edhi during the ceremony. In recognition of his social and welfare services, Imran Maskatia received the Edhi Award, which was presented by Consul General Syed Mustafa Rabbani.
The announcement of Maskatia’s name by host Siraj Adamji was met with applause from the audience.
The programme was hosted by Siraj Adamji, Javed Khairani, Aamir Farooq, Siraj Lala and Imran Maskatia.
The organizers acknowledged the contributions of Education Committee Head Imran Amin and his team, Event Committee Head Aqeel Teli and his team, and Farhan Muhammad Amin for his support to the Media Wing.
Special appreciation was also extended to the volunteers, young hosts and MASA Ladies Wing for their teamwork in organizing the event.
The ceremony highlighted educational achievement, community service and the contribution of volunteers to social welfare activities in the Pakistani community in Jeddah.
