LARKANA: The Green Sindh Foundation organized a plantation campaign in Larkana under the Community Service Project (CSP) of Ziauddin University. The initiative aimed to promote environmental awareness among young people and encourage communities to contribute to a greener and cleaner Sindh.

A total of 40 plants were planted at different locations during the campaign. The activity brought together students, education officials and representatives of social organizations to highlight the importance of tree plantation and environmental protection.

As part of the campaign, 20 plants were planted at the office of the Regional Director Colleges Larkana. Professor Dr. Karam Hussain Wadho, Regional Director Colleges Larkana, participated in the plantation activity.

Professor Dr. Wadho appreciated the initiative and encouraged students to take an active role in protecting the environment. He stressed the importance of tree plantation in creating a healthier environment for present and future generations.

The participation of students also highlighted the role of educational institutions in promoting environmental responsibility and community service.

Another 20 plants were planted at Jafar King City as part of the same campaign. Darwish Saber Hussain, Deputy General Secretary of Al Qaim Social Forum, participated in the activity.

Speaking on the occasion, participants appreciated the efforts of the Green Sindh Foundation to promote tree plantation and community cooperation. They said such activities can help increase public awareness about environmental challenges and encourage people to play their part in creating greener communities.

The participants also praised the services of Zulfiqar Magsi, founder of the Green Sindh Foundation, for his efforts to promote a greener Sindh and support environmental improvement.

The plantation campaign also focused on engaging young people in environmental activities. Students participating in the project were encouraged to understand the importance of trees and their role in improving air quality, reducing environmental pollution and creating healthier communities.

The organizers said community-based plantation campaigns can help develop a sense of responsibility among young people while strengthening cooperation between educational institutions and local social organizations.

Wazir Abbas and other students also participated in the plantation activity and supported the environmental awareness initiative.
