Football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has married his longtime partner, Georgina Rodríguez, in a civil ceremony in Portugal, marking a major milestone in the couple’s decade-long relationship.

Portuguese media reported that the couple exchanged vows on August 11 in the coastal town of Cascais, near Lisbon. Their five children were also reportedly present at the intimate ceremony.

Ronaldo Confirms Marriage on Instagram

Ronaldo appeared to confirm the marriage through a post on Instagram showing two hands wearing wedding rings, with his hand placed over his wife’s.

The post quickly attracted enormous attention, reportedly receiving more than three million likes within just 30 minutes.

The football star shared the image as fans around the world celebrated the news of his marriage to Rodríguez.

Ten Years Together

Ronaldo and Rodríguez have been together for around 10 years after first meeting at a Gucci store in Madrid, where Rodríguez was working while Ronaldo was playing for Real Madrid.

The couple announced their engagement on August 11, 2025, when Rodríguez shared a photograph of her large diamond engagement ring.

She announced the engagement with a message expressing her love and commitment to Ronaldo.

Their Family Life

Ronaldo has five children, including two daughters with Rodríguez.

Rodríguez has also played an important role in raising Ronaldo’s other three children, with the family currently based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Their first daughter together, Alana Martina, was born in 2017. Their youngest daughter, Bella, was born in April 2022 alongside a twin brother who tragically died shortly after birth.

Ronaldo’s Remarkable Football Career

The marriage comes as Ronaldo continues one of the most celebrated careers in football history.

The Portuguese superstar has scored nearly 1,000 career goals and has represented Sporting Lisbon, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus, Al-Nassr and Portugal.

He remains captain of the Portuguese national team and recently appeared at his sixth and final FIFA World Cup, matching Lionel Messi’s record for the most men’s World Cup appearances.

Ronaldo has won the Ballon d’Or five times, placing him second on the all-time list behind Messi, who has won the award eight times.

Ronaldo to Remain at Al-Nassr

Ronaldo joined Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr in 2022 and has continued to play a leading role for the Riyadh-based side.

The club confirmed last year that the Portuguese star had signed a new two-year contract, keeping him at Al-Nassr until 2027.

Away from football, Ronaldo’s global business interests and commercial success have also made him one of the world’s wealthiest athletes.

The marriage to Rodríguez adds another major chapter to the couple’s long-running relationship, with their family life continuing alongside Ronaldo’s remarkable football career.
