Achakzai Ghabizai Tribe Reconciliation Jirga in Gulistan

Gulistan (By Syed Sardar Mohammad Khondai): A long-standing dispute between two sub-branches of the Achakzai Ghabizai tribe, Midad Kahol and Awan Kahol, has ended with a formal reconciliation in Gulistan.

The reconciliation followed sincere efforts by respected Jirga members and tribal elders. The development has turned a long-standing dispute into an agreement based on mutual understanding and peace.

Achakzai Ghabizai Tribe Reconciliation Reaches Final Stage

The first Jirga programme was held at Awan Khel, where members of both sides discussed ways to resolve the dispute.

The second and decisive grand Jirga was held at Midad Khel on October 10. Thousands of people attended the gathering and witnessed the formal announcement of reconciliation between the two sides.

With mutual consent, the long-standing dispute between Midad Kahol and Awan Kahol was brought to an end. Participants welcomed the agreement and described it as an important step toward peace and unity in the area.

The historic reconciliation Jirga was headed by prominent tribal personality Haji Fateh Muhammad Kakozai.

The gathering was attended by Awami National Party Provincial President Asghar Khan Achakzai, Sardar Ahmed Khan Achakzai and Sardar Jilani Khan Ghabizai.

Syeds, religious scholars, respected elders from different tribes and a large number of local residents also participated in the Jirga.

At the conclusion of the gathering, a luncheon was hosted in honour of the participants.

Reconciliation Welcomed Across Balochistan

People from different schools of thought across Balochistan and the Pashtoon belt welcomed the reconciliation.

They congratulated both sides and described the settlement as a positive development for the wider region.

Participants also appealed to Jirga members and tribal elders to continue their efforts to resolve other long-standing disputes.

They said further reconciliation efforts could help prevent tribal conflicts and promote peace among communities.

The successful settlement between Midad Kahol and Awan Kahol has therefore been welcomed as a positive example of dialogue, mutual understanding and traditional Jirga-based reconciliation.
