Vice Chancellor of University of Balochistan Prof. Dr. Zahoor Ahmed Bazai formally inaugurates National Outreach Program for Faculty Development at the University ۔

The Vice Chancellor of University of Balochistan, Prof. Dr. Zahoor Ahmed Bazai, formally inaugurated the National Outreach Program for Faculty Tier-I Lecturers and Assistant Professors during the opening ceremony of the four-week-long training workshop, where he attended as the chief guest.
The training program will run from June 29 to July 20, 2026, and is being organized by the University Training and Development Center (UTDC), University of Balochistan, in collaboration with the National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE), Higher Education Commission, Islamabad. The aim of the program is to further enhance the teaching, research, and professional skills of the university’s faculty and equip them with modern pedagogical techniques.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. Ghulam Razzaq Shahwani, Assistant Director of NAHE, HEC Islamabad, Mr. Tahir Mahmood, HEC representative Mr. Ahsan Younas, Dean Faculty of Management Sciences Prof. Dr. Sobia Ramzan, Director UTDC Jahangir Khan, along with university faculty and members from various departments.
Addressing the occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Zahoor Ahmed Bazai extended special thanks to Dr. Noor Amna Malik, Managing Director, NAHE, HEC Islamabad, and said that organizing this four-week training program for University of Balochistan faculty is a commendable step. He said that professional development of teachers is essentially an investment in the bright future of students. He urged participants to apply the knowledge, skills, and modern teaching methods gained during the training in their teaching, so that students benefit the most and the standard of teaching and research at the university is further elevated.
In his address, Director UTDC Jahangir Khan welcomed the guests and participants, highlighted the objectives of the program, and thanked NAHE and HEC for their cooperation.
Prof. Dr. Sobia Ramzan, in her speech, emphasized the importance of continuous professional training for teachers, stating that such programs play a key role in improving the quality of higher education. Tahir Mahmood termed teacher training indispensable for keeping pace with modern educational demands, while Mr. Ahsan Younas welcomed the holding of this program at the University of Balochistan and highlighted its importance in enhancing faculty capacity.
In the first session of the training program, resource person Dr. Gohar Malghani delivered a detailed and interactive session on the topic of “Communication Skills,” covering various aspects of effective communication, teaching skills, leadership abilities, and better engagement with students.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Zahoor Ahmed Bazai presented commemorative shields to the distinguished guests from NAHE, HEC Islamabad, and the resource person in recognition of their services.
