Pakistani Community Raises Thousands of Dollars for Shahid Afridi Foundation at Virginia Fundraising Event

VIRGINIA: A fundraising event organized in Virginia by the Shahid Afridi Foundation (SAF) brought together members of the Pakistani-American community, who generously donated thousands of dollars to support humanitarian projects in Pakistan.

The event featured three of Pakistan’s most respected personalities—former cricket captain Shahid Afridi, legendary squash champion Jahangir Khan, and renowned actor Zaviyar Nauman Ijaz—who appealed to the audience to contribute to improving the lives of underprivileged families in Pakistan.

During his address, Shahid Afridi shared the Foundation’s achievements, stating that the organization has already helped build and provide homes to more than 900 deserving families across Pakistan. He added that the Foundation is also actively working in the fields of education, healthcare, clean water, and child welfare.

Jahangir Khan praised the Foundation’s humanitarian efforts and urged the Pakistani-American community to continue supporting this noble cause. Actor Zaviyar Nauman Ijaz also encouraged attendees to participate wholeheartedly in the charity campaign.

The fundraising event received an overwhelming response. Four patriotic Pakistani donors pledged to sponsor five houses each, while many others committed to funding one or two homes for deserving families.

A charity auction was also held, featuring several special items, including a bat signed by Shahid Afridi and autographed squash rackets by Jahangir Khan, which attracted enthusiastic bidding from participants.

The evening concluded with a renewed commitment from the Pakistani-American community to continue supporting humanitarian initiatives aimed at improving the lives of underprivileged people in Pakistan.
