Death toll in Ziarat terrorist attack rises to 31

Yesterday, armed terrorists attacked Ziarat, killing 9 people on the spot and abducting 19 police personnel. A video released on social media a short while ago showed the bodies of all 19 abducted personnel, with families asked to collect them. After receiving the information, the Ziarat district administration immediately shifted the bodies to Ziarat Hospital via ambulances.
It should be noted that three days earlier, hundreds of armed terrorists besieged a village in the Hanna Urak area of Quetta and opened indiscriminate fire on local tribes. 4 people were killed and several injured in that incident.
According to government sources, the terrorists then moved toward Ziarat and attacked the Mangi Dam. Police resisted for several hours, but 9 personnel were martyred during the clash while 19 others were taken away by the terrorists.
Following the incident, security forces launched a search operation in the area. According to the provincial spokesperson and security sources, 15 terrorists were killed during the operation. Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti personally visited Ziarat and appealed for the reopening of the international highway at Ziarat Cross, stating that they will not rest until the last terrorist is eliminated.
