Faisalabad (Zafar Chishti, Bureau Chief Punjab Pakistan):  The Rs 22 billion Faisalabad Water Treatment Project is expected to be completed by June 2027, bringing a major increase in clean drinking water supplies for the city and surrounding rural areas. The surface water treatment plant is being developed as a joint initiative of the Punjab Government and the French Development Agency (AFD).
