RPO Faisalabad Inam-ur-Rehman Malik assumes charge

FAISALABAD: Deputy Inspector General of Police Inam-ur-Rehman Malik has assumed charge as Regional Police Officer (RPO) Faisalabad.On his arrival at Police Lines, a smartly turned-out police contingent presented a guard of honour to the newly appointed RPO. City Police Officer (CPO) Tanveer Hussain, SSP Investigation, town SPs and other senior police officers were present on the occasion.RPO subsequently visited the Police Martyrs’ Memorial, where he paid salami and laid a floral wreath in honour of the police martyrs. He also offered prayers for the elevation of their ranks in the hereafter.
Paying tribute to the families of the fallen policemen, RPO Inam Ir Rehman Malik said the sacrifices of police martyrs were a source of guidance and would always be remembered. He also expressed solidarity with the families who had lost their loved ones while protecting the country and serving the people.
Later, at the RPO Office, SSP RIB Muhammad Akmal, SP Legal Muhammad Ashraf, ADIG Muhammad Habib, PRO Dr Muhammad Rizwan Bhatti and branch in-charges welcomed him.During an introductory meeting with the office staff, the RPO directed officers to ensure strict discipline and said those involved in corruption or negligence would face action without leniency. He also directed police officers to ensure the use of helmets and seat belts while travelling and strictly follow the police social media policy.
Morover, RPO Inam Ur Rehman Malik stressed prompt response to calls on 15, protection of life and property, rule of law and provision of speedy and transparent justice. He directed that all available resources be utilised for the welfare of police martyrs, Ghazis and families of police officers who died during service, terming police welfare a priority across the region.
