The chief guest, Professor Dr. Tariq Javed—Principal of District Jinnah Public School and College, Mandi Bahauddin—delivered a special reformative address to the inmates. In line with Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s reformative vision—”Reformation, Education, Character Building, and a Bright Future”—and the directives of Inspector General of Prisons Punjab Mian Muhammad Salik Jalal and DIG Prisons Rawalpindi Region Rana Abdul Rauf, this reformative and educational session was arranged. The chief guest was a distinguished academic and educational figure of the district, Professor Dr. Tariq Javed (Professor of Chemistry and Principal of District Jinnah Public School and College). Addressing the inmates on the topic of “Education, Character Building, and Moral Reformation,” Professor Tariq Javed delivered a highly thought-provoking and spiritually uplifting speech. He stated that prison life is not an end but an excellent opportunity for self-reformation and for starting life anew with fresh resolve. Through education, skills, and positive thinking, any individual can become a productive citizen of society. Speaking on the occasion, Superintendent Haq Nawaz expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Professor Dr. Tariq Javed, stating, “The administration of District Jail Mandi Bahauddin is deeply grateful to you for sparing your valuable time to visit the jail and enlighten the inmates with your knowledge. At the conclusion of the event, the inmates described Principal Professor Tariq Javed’s address as highly beneficial and expressed their resolve to reform themselves and move towards a better, brighter future.
