Tragic Incident in Quetta: Father of 8-Month Kidnapped Child Killed, Protest Held with Body on Airport Road

In a tragic incident in the provincial capital of Balochistan, Quetta, Haji Salahuddin Khan Noorzai, a prominent trader and father of Jafar Khan Noorzai, who was kidnapped 8 months ago, was shot dead by unknown armed motorcyclists.
According to sources, the incident took place in the Muslim Abad area of Quetta, where armed assailants targeted Haji Salahuddin Noorzai and fled the scene. He died on the spot.
Following the incident, the heirs and local residents staged a protest by placing the body on Quetta Airport Road, blocking the Quetta-Chaman National Highway for all kinds of traffic. The protesters demanded the immediate arrest of the killers and the recovery of the kidnapped child.
On the other hand, various political, religious, and trader communities of Balochistan have expressed deep concern and anger over this tragic incident. In their condolence statements, leaders said that life has been made miserable for the common citizen, including on highways in Balochistan, and that the trader community is also not safe. The government has completely failed to restore law and order.
