Catastrophic floods in Punjab, caused by overflowing Sutlej, Ravi, and Chenab rivers, have displaced over 600,000 people and claimed 15 lives. Millions of acres of farmland and vital infrastructure have been destroyed. Authorities have evacuated 150,000 people and 35,000 livestock, establishing relief, medical, and veterinary camps. UN OCHA reports fatalities are nearly three times higher than last year. Water discharge remains critical at Chenab, Sutlej, and Ravi river headworks, with some areas showing slight improvement, while others continue to face rising flood levels.
