Under the Assistive Devices Program of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif and organized by the Social Welfare Department, a ceremony to distribute assistive devices among special people was held at the District Council Hall, Mandi Bahauddin. The special guests of the ceremony were Khalid Mahmood Ranjha MPA and Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue Chaudhry Muhammad Jaffer, Deputy Director Social Welfare Atif Ali Warraich, Usman Altaf Ranjha, Bureau Chief SAMAA and Representative PTV News Mandi Bahauddin Raja Muhammad Ayub, Assistant Director Social Welfare Arshad Awan, disabled persons and their relatives participated in large numbers. Deputy Director Social Welfare Atif Ali Warraich said regarding the Assistive Devices Program that after the registration of special persons, 52 special persons who met the rules and regulations, including 33 manual active use wheelchairs, 10 assistant controlled wheelchairs, 5 electric wheelchairs, 2 tricycles and 1.1 walking frame walker and mobile toilet chair, are being distributed. The special guest, Member of Provincial Assembly Khalid Mahmood Ranjha and Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue Chaudhry Muhammad Jaffer said that the Assistive Devices Program of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif is a great humanitarian duty in serving and empowering the disadvantaged and special persons of the society. The aim of today’s beautiful event is to create convenience in the lives of special persons and enable them to move around so that they can also participate fully in social activities. He said that our goal is not just to distribute assistive devices, but to make these people feel that they are an important part of society and that we are with them.
