From Promises to Completion — Public Service Continues in Pindi Gheb

New Ambulances Inaugurated at Rescue 1122 Pindi Gheb Office
Pindi Gheb, Attock: Chairman WASA Punjab and Member of the Provincial Assembly Nawabzada Chaudhry Sher Ali Khan attended the inauguration ceremony of new ambulances at the Rescue 1122 office in Pindi Gheb and formally inaugurated the ambulances by cutting the ribbon.
Upon his arrival at the Rescue 1122 Pindi Gheb office, District Emergency Officer Dr. Mian Muhammad Ashfaq, Khawaja Abrar and members of the Rescue 1122 team warmly welcomed him. Flowers were showered on the visiting dignitary and a bouquet was also presented to him.
The ceremony was attended by Assistant Commissioner Pindi Gheb Hafiz Muhammad Zunair Younis, Nawabzada Malik Nasir Ali Khan, District Emergency Officer Dr. Mian Ashfaq, Mir Naveed Akhtar, Coordinator to the Chairman WASA Punjab, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz office-bearers and members, local councillors, prominent residents of Tehsil Pindi Gheb, members of the journalist community and representatives of the traders’ association.
After the inauguration, Chaudhry Sher Ali Khan inspected the new ambulances in detail and reviewed the medical and other facilities available for patients.
Long-Standing Demand for Ambulances Fulfilled
Speakers at the ceremony thanked Chairman WASA Punjab for helping fulfil the long-standing demand of the people of Pindi Gheb for additional ambulances.
They said the availability of the new ambulances would improve emergency response and provide residents with better access to timely medical assistance.
“My Mission Is Public Service,” Says Chaudhry Sher Ali Khan
Addressing the ceremony, Nawabzada Chaudhry Sher Ali Khan said his mission was solely to serve the public and make sincere efforts to improve people’s lives.
He said that during 2013–2018, several development projects were completed in Pindi Gheb under a special package, including the construction and improvement of roads and streets. Schools were upgraded, missing facilities were provided, and the police station building and other development projects were also completed.
He said efforts would soon be made to secure a special development funds package for the further development of Pindi Gheb city.
Efforts Underway for Industrial Zone in Pindi Gheb
Chaudhry Sher Ali Khan said he had specifically requested Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif to facilitate the establishment of an industrial zone on government land located beyond Kharpa along the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
He said that once the process of establishing industrial zones begins, efforts would be made to ensure that Pindi Gheb is also given priority for an industrial zone.
He said such an initiative could create new employment and business opportunities for local residents.
Improvements in Electricity and Clean Water Supply
The Chairman WASA Punjab said the grid station in Pindi Gheb had been upgraded to improve electricity supply.
He added that work was also continuing on filtration plants and other public welfare projects aimed at improving the availability of clean drinking water across the city and constituency.
Technical Education and Employment Opportunities for Youth
Chaudhry Sher Ali Khan said efforts were also being made to upgrade the local technical institute to GCD status.
He said the objective was to enable young people to obtain three-year diplomas, develop technical skills and gain better employment opportunities.
Health Facilities at Pindi Gheb THQ Hospital
He further stated that new blocks had been constructed at the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Pindi Gheb, while doctors had also been appointed.
He said efforts were continuing to secure the appointment of specialist doctors so that residents could receive improved healthcare services locally.
Chaudhry Sher Ali Khan reiterated that public service, sincerity and development remain the core priorities for Pindi Gheb and its people.
