
Houston’s Pakistani-American community celebrated Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day with immense pride and cultural vibrancy at the Art, Culture, and Taste (ACT) Pakistan Festival 2025. The event, held under the theme of “Marka-e-Haq,” showcased the rich heritage of Pakistan through art, music, food, and cultural performances. The festival was a collaboration with several key organizations, including the Consulate General of Pakistan in Houston and the Houston-Karachi Sister City Association, and was attended by distinguished guests, including Ambassador of Pakistan to the U.S. Rizwan Saeed Sheikh and Consul General Muhammad Aftab Chaudhry. The celebration was officially recognized by Houston Mayor John Whitmire, who proclaimed August 14, 2025, as “ACT Pakistan Festival Day.” The festival also featured a mesmerizing musical performance by renowned artist Tehseen Javed, bringing a memorable close to the festivities.
