Firing on Polio Team, Two Policemen Martyred

Unidentified armed men attacked police personnel deployed for the security of an anti-polio team in the Killi Jamalabad area on the outskirts of Noshki district.
According to police sources, the armed assailants suddenly opened indiscriminate fire on the police team, as a result of which two police personnel were martyred on the spot.
The martyred personnel have been identified as Muhammad Yasir and Abdul Rauf.
Soon after receiving information about the incident, a heavy contingent of police and security forces cordoned off the area and started a search operation for the fleeing assailants. According to police officials, further investigation into the incident is underway.
