The Women’s Wing of the Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM), Houston Chapter, organized a blessed Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ gathering at a local hall on Saturday evening. A large number of women from across the city attended.

The gathering began with a recitation of the Holy Quran. Nationally and internationally recognized Naat reciters Sister Javeria Saleem, Sister Sana, Sister Shazia Shariq, and senior MQM member Sister Azmat Jabeen offered poetic tributes to the Holy Prophet ﷺ and reflected on his blessed life as a mercy to all humanity. Sister Farheen Kazmi served as the compere. Throughout the recitations, attendees expressed their devotion and love with calls of “SubhanAllah” and “MashaAllah.”

The hall was decorated with floral bouquets and other ornaments, and rosebuds were distributed among the attendees.

The gathering concluded with special prayers for MQM Founder and Leader Mr. Altaf Hussain’s health, well-being, and long life, and for his protection from illness, hardship, distress, and all forms of harm. Prayers were also offered for the forgiveness and elevation of the ranks of all deceased MQM members and martyrs, for patience and strength for their bereaved families, and for the safety and release of those imprisoned.
