HOUSTON: A beautiful and spiritually uplifting Mehfil e Milad e Mustafa ﷺ was held in Houston, bringing together a large gathering of devotees to express their love and reverence for Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. The event was organized by Nadeem Malik, with the support and cooperation of his colleagues.

The program began with the recitation of the Holy Quran by renowned reciter Qari Sadaqat Ali, whose melodious Tilawat created a deeply spiritual atmosphere. Ayaz Mufti then presented Naat e Rasool ﷺ, while Sarfraz also offered a heartfelt Naat Mubarak in praise of the Holy Prophet ﷺ.

The evening was gracefully conducted by Ghazanfar Hashmi, who served as the emcee. His presentation went beyond simply introducing the various segments of the program. With warmth and eloquence, he reflected on the significance of Milad un Nabi ﷺ and highlighted different aspects of the life and message of the Prophet ﷺ.

Drawing upon the poetry and thought of Allama Muhammad Iqbal as well as other poets, Hashmi beautifully connected poetry, history and spirituality. His thoughtful commentary added both intellectual depth and emotional warmth to the gathering.

Dr. Asaf Qadeer, in his address, spoke on various aspects of Seerat un Nabi ﷺ and the timeless teachings of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. He emphasized that genuine love for the Prophet ﷺ should be reflected not only through words and devotion but also through following his example of compassion, character, kindness and service to humanity.

Among the distinguished guests attending the gathering were Fort Bend County District Attorney Brian Middleton, Texas State Representative Dr. Suleman Lalani, Usman Khawaja, along with several other civic, social and community personalities.

The gathering was particularly notable for the enthusiastic participation of community members, including a large number of women, reflecting the deep affection and reverence for the Holy Prophet ﷺ shared across the community.

Event organizer Nadeem Malik warmly welcomed the guests and expressed his appreciation to everyone who contributed to the program and attended the gathering.

The evening conveyed a message extending beyond the commemoration itself: that gatherings celebrating the birth of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ provide an opportunity not only to express devotion but also to reconnect with his teachings of mercy, tolerance, brotherhood, compassion and service to humanity.

Filled with the recitation of the Holy Quran, Naat, poetry, reflection and Darood o Salam, the gathering concluded in a deeply spiritual atmosphere, leaving participants with a renewed sense of love for the Prophet ﷺ and a message of peace, unity and brotherhood.
