Gwadar Police in Major Operation Recovers 12 Hostages Called from Punjab, 3 Suspects Arrested

Lasbela – Gwadar City Police, in an operation, have safely recovered 12 hostage individuals belonging to Punjab and arrested three accused. During the operation, police also impounded five vehicles.
According to police, the operation was carried out in the New Mullah Band area on the directives of DIG Makran Range Imran Qureshi and SP Gwadar Ata-ur-Rehman.
Those arrested include Nadir Shah son of Qadir Dad Shah, resident of Awaran currently living in Gwadar, Abdul Majid son of Sher Muhammad, resident of Panjgur currently living in Gwadar, and Zaheer-ud-Din Shah son of Atta Muhammad Shah, resident of Awaran currently living in Gwadar.
According to initial investigation, the affected persons were called from Punjab to Gwadar on the pretext of employment, where they were taken hostage and pressured to extort money from their families.
Police said a case has been registered and further investigation has been started, while operations are underway to arrest other individuals involved in the incident. Gwadar Police expressed its resolve that indiscriminate actions against criminal elements will continue to ensure the protection of life and property of citizens.
