Agrand ceremony was held at the District Council Hall, Mandi Bahauddin, to distribute the keys of high-power green tractors to farmers under the farmer-friendly policies of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif. The ceremony was attended by Member National Assembly Nasir Iqbal Bosal, Member Provincial Assembly Khalid Mehmood Ranjha, Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue Muhammad Jafar Chaudhry, Deputy Director Agriculture Extension Sheikh Muhammad Iqbal, Bureau Chief SAMAA Lahore and PTV News Mandi Bahauddin Raja Muhammad Ayub, along with a large number of farmers. Addressing the ceremony, Nasir Iqbal Bosal MNA and Khalid Mehmood Ranjha MPA said that the Chief Minister Punjab’s green tractor scheme will bring a revolution for farmers. Production will increase and the country will help make the country self-sufficient in terms of food. They said that according to the farmer-friendly vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, farmers across Punjab are being given a subsidy of Rs. 1 million per tractor on 10,000 high-power tractors at a cost of Rs. 10 billion. Director Agriculture Extension Dr. Irfan Warraich informed the participants in detail about the importance of agriculture, Green Tractors Scheme, Kisan Cards, subsidized seeds of approved varieties and agricultural machinery, and other agricultural facilities and measures. Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue Chaudhry Muhammad Jaffer and Deputy Director Agriculture Extension Sheikh Muhammad Iqbal said that under the Green Tractors Scheme, tractors are being distributed to 152 lucky farmers of Mandi Bahauddin district through an online transparent lottery. On this occasion, the farmers paid tribute to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif and thanked her for giving the historic package. The efforts of Deputy Director Agriculture Extension Mandi Bahauddin Sheikh Muhammad Iqbal were paid in wonderful words for the excellent arrangements of the ceremony.
