Federal Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Protection Pir Syed Imran Ahmed Shah formally inaugurated a modern CBC machine at Sahiwal Social Security Hospital. This machine has been donated to the hospital by the Sahiwal Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which will enable patients to get blood tests at the hospital itself. In this regard, a grand ceremony was held at the Social Security Hospital Sahiwal in which Federal Minister Pir Syed Imran Ahmed Shah was the special guest while Member of Punjab Assembly Malik Muhammad Arshad was the guest of honor. President Sahiwal Chamber Sheikh Azmat Saleem, Director PCI Sardar Shahzad Ahmed, Medical Superintendent Dr. Nadeem Yaqub, DMS Dr. Sarfaraz Dogar, Deputy Director PCI Babar Bhatti, well-known social figure Chaudhry Sultan Mahmood and other office bearers of Sahiwal Chamber were also present at the ceremony. Speaking on the occasion, Federal Minister Pir Syed Imran Ahmed Shah said that with the installation of the CBC machine, patients will not have to go out for blood tests and they will get immediate and quality diagnostic facilities. He said that the patients who benefit from this machine will offer prayers, which is the best reward for any good deed. The Federal Minister said that the government is taking practical steps for the welfare of the working class, however, the role of philanthropists is also very important. He urged the dignitaries to actively participate in the treatment of deserving patients. He expressed special gratitude to the President of the Chamber Sheikh Azmat Saleem and his team for donating the CBC machine. Member of Punjab Assembly Malik Muhammad Arshad said on the occasion that the shortage of doctors in the hospital will be filled soon so that quality medical facilities can be provided to maximum workers. He assured that the provision of all basic and modern facilities will be ensured in the Social Security Hospital. Medical Superintendent Dr. Nadeem Yaqoob, while briefing the participants of the event, said that more than 86,000 workers are currently being provided treatment facilities at the Social Security Hospital Sahiwal. He said that the hospital is being converted into a modern facility with 25 beds, while the inauguration of the new building of the hospital is also expected soon. According to him, a 5-bed emergency ward, 15-bed gynecology ward, 7-bed male ward and nursery ward will also be activated soon.
