FDA Board Approves Sale of Residential Plots in Easy Four-Year Installments

284 Plots in FDA City to Be Sold via Lottery, Including 1 Kanal and 10 Marla Plots
Faisalabad: The Board of Governors of Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) has unanimously approved the sale of 284 residential plots in FDA City through a lottery system, payable in easy four-year installments. These plots include 189 plots of 1 Kanal and 95 plots of 10 Marla, located across various blocks of FDA City.
The board meeting was held under the chairmanship of Commissioner Faisalabad Raja Jahangir Anwar in the conference room of his office, attended by Deputy Commissioner Captain (R) Nadeem Nasir, Additional Commissioner Asif Chauhan, representatives from Punjab Finance Department, Housing & Urban Development, Local Government, and Planning & Development departments. Director General FDA Muhammad Asif Chaudhry briefed the board about the agenda as well as administrative and development matters of the authority.
Additional Director General FDA Qaiser Abbas Rand, Chief Engineer Mehr Ayub, Directors Asma Mohsin, Junaid Hassan Manj, Yasir Ijaz Chatha, Sohail Maqsood Panoo, and other FDA officials were also present. The meeting began with the confirmation of proceedings of the previous board meeting.
It was informed during the meeting that successful applicants in the lottery will pay the plot price in four-year installments, while submitting Rs. 2.5 lakh as earnest money for a 10 Marla plot and Rs. 5 lakh for a 1 Kanal plot along with the application form.
The board also approved various government notifications and other administrative matters. Commissioner Faisalabad appreciated the decision to sell plots through a lottery and emphasized developing additional business models to strengthen the financial stability of the authority. He further stated that FDA plays a crucial role in modern urban development and that planning will be undertaken under a new vision aligned with Punjab government’s development agenda.
Director General FDA stated that due to unsatisfactory results from public auctions, the decision was made to sell available FDA City plots through a lottery in easy installments. He added that the authority is committed to aligning its services with modern standards and meeting the exact needs of the citizens.
