District Police Officer Mandi Bahauddin Syed Abdul Rahim Shirazi, along with the relevant traffic officers, paid a special visit to Punjab University Rasool Mandi Bahauddin and gave a detailed briefing to the students and faculty members regarding the observance of traffic rules. DSP Saddar Syed Hasnat Hussain Shah, SHO Saddar Police Station Inspector Malik Saif Ali Awan, PRO to DPO Sub-Inspector Riyat Ali Anand, Deputy PSO Muhammad Javed Gujjar, Reader Chaudhry Abdul Salam and relevant officers of the traffic police were also with the DPO. The DPO’s visit was made to ensure strict implementation of public safety and traffic laws in light of government instructions. The DPO urged the students to ensure helmets on their motorcycles while traveling. Helmets are not just for avoiding fines, but are an absolute necessity to save lives, and their use is mandatory. He explained the severe fines and informed the youth about the details of the new and revised traffic laws and increased fines for serious violations so that they feel responsible. Special attention was paid to the dangers of mobile phone use and reckless driving, as the rate of traffic accidents among youth is high. Rule of law: It was clarified that compliance with the laws is not just fear of the police but the foundation of a safe society. The administration of the University of Rasool has assured DPO Abdul Rahim Shirazi of its full cooperation with the traffic police.
