Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met Liu Jianchao, Minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China (IDCPC), in Beijing today. Mr. Dar appreciated China’s consistent support for Pakistan’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and core national interests. Liu reaffirmed China’s commitment to its All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership with Pakistan, calling the two countries “ironclad friends.” Both sides agreed to strengthen institutional ties and cooperation between Pakistan’s political parties and the Communist Party of China, further reinforcing their long-standing bilateral relationship.
