Commissioner Sahiwal Inspects Hospital and Bus Stand, Directs Enhancements in Services and Infrastructure

Asif Tufail reviews hospital and bus stand facilities, orders service and infrastructure improvements in Sahiwal.

Commissioner Sahiwal Division Dr. Dr. Asif Tufail paid a detailed visit to Sahiwal Teaching Hospital. On this occasion, Principal Medical College Professor Dr. Muhammad Akhtar was also with him. The Commissioner inspected the surgical store, medicine store, laboratory, and various wards of the hospital. He checked the record of medicines in the medicine store and surgical store and reviewed the available facilities. During the visit, Dr. Asif Tufail issued instructions to further improve the cleanliness system around the hospital and urged the concerned officers to monitor the cleanliness process regularly. He directed that the SOPs of the laboratory be prominently displayed and a clear signboard of the laboratory be installed so that the patients coming to the hospital do not face any problem. He said that providing a better and healthier environment to the patients and their attendants is the first responsibility of the administration. Meanwhile, Commissioner Sahiwal Division Dr. Dr. Asif Tufail also visited the Railway Road Bus Stand. On this occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue Captain (retd) Usama Majeed and officers of the Municipal Corporation Sahiwal were also with him. The Commissioner inspected different parts of the General Bus Stand and reviewed the ongoing affairs and issued instructions to construct and develop the lorry depot according to the new design. He said that the internal and external routes should be made smooth and spacious so that the passengers do not face any difficulty in movement. Dr. Asif Tufail directed that the establishment of a passenger lounge, standard washrooms and a canteen should be ensured in the bus stand, while a regular footpath should be constructed inside the lorry depot so that the citizens and passengers can have a safe and easy journey.
