China’s Global Governance Initiative Highlighted at Islamabad Seminar

China Media Group (CMG) and the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad (ISSI) jointly organized a seminar on President Xi Jinping’s Global Governance Initiative (GGI), emphasizing a fairer international system.

Chief Guest Murtaza Solangi, spokesperson for Pakistan’s President, called the initiative “a timely effort to reconnect a fractured global order” by promoting justice, equality, and shared development opportunities.

Chinese Embassy official Wang Shengjie described the GGI as a framework rooted in transparency, equality, and the rule of law, essential for tackling challenges like climate change, AI, and global economic crises.

Speakers from Pakistan, China, and Bangladesh—including diplomats, analysts, and former officials—stressed that governance must go beyond power politics, focusing instead on law, ethics, inclusivity, and cooperation.

The event underscored Pakistan and China’s strategic partnership, presenting the GGI as a path toward collective peace, prosperity, and sustainable development.
