Chaman: JTI Provincial Leader Ehsanullah Martyred in Robbers’ Firing, Sit-in Staged in Front of DC Complex
Chaman (Syed Sardar Mohammad Khondai) — In a tragic firing incident near Madrasa Sheikh-ul-Hadith Maulana Sharafuddin in the Mehmoodabad area on the outskirts of Chaman, Jamiat Talaba-e-Islam (JTI) provincial leader Ehsanullah was martyred after being shot by robbers.
Upon receiving information about the incident, provincial and district leaders of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, along with hundreds of workers, reached Chaman Civil Hospital. Leaders and workers of the Awami National Party (ANP) and Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party also arrived at the hospital.
Protest Begins From Chaman Civil Hospital
After consultation at the hospital, a protest demonstration was held. The demonstration, which started from Civil Hospital Chaman along with the body in an ambulance, turned into a sit-in in front of the Deputy Commissioner Complex.
Hundreds of workers of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam and Jamiat Talaba-e-Islam participating in the sit-in raised strong slogans over the broad-daylight martyrdom of Dars-e-Hadith student and JTI provincial leader Ehsanullah, and expressed deep concern and sorrow over the grave law and order situation in Chaman.
Speakers Condemn Law and Order Situation
Addressing the sit-in, JUI district Ameer Maulana Abdul Manan, Sheikh-ul-Hadith Maulana Sharafuddin, Mufti Muhammad Qasim, Maulana Shamsullah, ANP district president Abdul Khaliq Haqmal, Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party’s Azam Khan Achakzai, JUI provincial finance secretary Haji Ghousullah, Maulana Hafiz Gul and other speakers said that there is a rule of dacoits in Chaman and the administration has completely failed to protect the lives and property of the people.
They said Shaheed Ehsanullah was on his way from home to the madrasa when he was targeted by robbers.
Demand for Immediate Arrest of Culprits
Strongly criticizing the present government, the speakers said it has no interest in protecting the public.
They demanded that the higher authorities should immediately inquire into this tragic incident and arrest the culprits, otherwise a strong protest movement will be launched.
They made it clear that Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam will not leave the people at the mercy of dacoits, robbers and anti-social elements.
