Chaman Chamber of Commerce New Cabinet Takes Oath

Chaman (Syed Sardar Muhammad Khondai): The newly elected cabinet of the Chaman Chamber of Commerce and Industry took oath during a ceremony held at the Trade Center in Chaman.

Haji Muhammad Hanif Khan Achakzai took oath as president, while Muhammad Mudassir became senior vice president and Maqsood Khan Kakar took charge as vice president. The three office-bearers will serve for a two-year term.

The ceremony opened with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the national anthem. Participants stood during the anthem in a show of respect.

A large number of tribal elders, business leaders, religious scholars, civil society representatives, traders, members of Anjuman-e-Tajiran and Trade Union representatives attended the ceremony.

Chairman of the Business Founder Group and former president of the Chaman Chamber Jalat Khan Achakzai was among the speakers. Chairman of the Trade Union and former chamber president Haji Imran Khan Kakar also addressed the gathering.

Chief of the Noorzai tribe Haji Aminullah Khan Noorzai, Khan Amanullah Khan Achakzai, Haji Abdul Shakoor and Vice President of the Pak-Afghan Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry Haji Abdul Ghaffar also attended the event.

Former Vice President Haji Abdul Ghani, former Chaman Chamber president Haji Niaz Muhammad Khalji, Civil Society President Bashir Ahmed and Chief of the Salehzai tribe Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan Achakzai were also present.

Deputy Mayor of Municipal Corporation Matiullah Achakzai, Haji Mujahid Khan Noorzai, Haji Abdul Raziq Kakar, Najeebuddin, Haji Imran Khan Achakzai, Sahib Jan Achakzai of Anjuman-e-Tajiran, social leader Ali Khan Achakzai and Kaleemullah Hikmatyar were among the other participants.

Speakers congratulated the newly elected cabinet and expressed hope that it would effectively represent the business community. They called for greater efforts to resolve traders’ problems, protect their rights and promote commercial activities in Chaman.
