Faisalabad Board Announces Matric First Annual Examination 2026 Results, Pass Percentage Stands at 74.69%
Out of 192,925 candidates, 144,089 declared successful; 547 examination centres established; applications for rechecking can be submitted until August 21
Faisalabad (Mian Iftikhar Ahmad): The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Faisalabad has announced the results of the Matric (First) Annual Examination 2026. The result announcement ceremony was held at the Board’s auditorium, where Chairman Professor Dr. Rana Benjamin officially declared the results online by pressing a button on his laptop in accordance with the directions of the Government of Punjab. The results were simultaneously uploaded to the Board’s official website.
Addressing the ceremony, Chairman BISE Faisalabad Professor Dr. Rana Benjamin said that a total of 192,925 candidates appeared in the Matric (First) Annual Examination 2026, out of whom 144,089 passed, bringing the overall pass percentage to 74.69 percent. He congratulated the position holders on their outstanding performance and said that their success was the result of their hard work, the prayers of their parents, and the dedication of their teachers. He added that parents and teachers also deserved appreciation for the achievements of the students.
The Chairman said that the examination commenced on March 27, 2026, and all stages of the examination process, from the conduct of papers to the preparation of results, were completed with complete transparency, integrity, and strict compliance with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) issued by the Government of Punjab. He appreciated the services of the Secretary, Controller of Examinations, and all Board officers and employees for ensuring the timely declaration of the results through their dedication and hard work.
Speaking on the occasion, Board Secretary Professor Dr. Saleem Taqi Shah said that preparing accurate and error-free results was a highly sensitive responsibility that required commitment, honesty, and professional excellence. He said the Board remained committed to providing better and timely facilities to students and continuously improving its services.
Controller of Examinations Professor Rana Atiq-ur-Rehman said that BISE Faisalabad was providing examination services through a modern computerized system based on transparency, integrity, consistency, and continuous improvement. He said every stage, from student registration to the issuance of roll number slips, paper marking, super-checking, and result preparation, was carried out with the utmost confidentiality and responsibility. He added that 547 examination centres were established across Faisalabad, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, and Chiniot districts to facilitate candidates by providing examination centres close to their homes.
He further announced that the Matric (Second) Annual Examination 2026 would commence on October 6, 2026. Admission forms with a single fee will be accepted from August 7 to August 19, with a double fee from August 20 to August 25, and with a triple fee from August 26 to August 29, 2026.
During the ceremony, cash prizes, medals, and certificates were awarded to the position holders. Parents, teachers, and prominent personalities from the education sector attended the event and appreciated the outstanding achievements of the successful students. Later, Chairman Professor Dr. Rana Benjamin posed for a group photograph with the position holders, who were also presented with bouquets. At the conclusion of the ceremony, Board Secretary Professor Dr. Saleem Taqi Shah presented a commemorative shield to Chairman Professor Dr. Rana Benjamin.
In a separate statement, the Chairman said that the results had been prepared with utmost care and in accordance with the prescribed rules and SOPs. However, students who were not satisfied with their results could apply for rechecking until August 21, 2026. Applicants would be allowed to inspect their answer scripts personally. If any error was found during the rechecking process, the rechecking fee would be refunded and a revised result card would be issued immediately.
