Nabeel Javed Distributes Land Certificates to Allotment Farmers Under ‘Apna Khet, Apna Rozgar’ Programme

FAISALABAD: A ceremony was held in Faisalabad under Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s “Apna Khet, Apna Rozgar” (My Farm, My Livelihood) Programme, during which land allotment certificates were distributed to 1,275 landless farmers for a total of 3,707 acres of agricultural land.
Senior Member Board of Revenue Punjab Nabeel Javed distributed the allotment certificates among the successful beneficiaries.The ceremony was attended by Commissioner Faisalabad Dr. Imran Hamid Sheikh, Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Nauman Siddique, Director General Katchi Abadis Muhammad Shahid, Members of the Provincial Assembly Mian Tahir Jamil and Qudsia Batool, PML-N leaders Haji Akram Ansari, Faqeer Hussain Dogar, Umar Israr, Khalid Parvez Gill, Rana Shoaib Idrees, Azad Ali Tabassum and Ali Gohar along with Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Shireenah Junaijo, Assistant Commissioners and a large number of beneficiary farmers.
Speaking on the occasion, Senior Member Board of Revenue Punjab Nabeel Javed said that the Chief Minister’s “Apna Khet, Apna Rozgar” initiative guarantees economic empowerment for farmers and marks the beginning of a new era of rural prosperity. He said the successful applicants were selected strictly on merit and through a transparent process. Congratulating the beneficiaries, he added that the Revenue Department would hand over possession of the allotted land, while the Agriculture Department would provide complete support, including loans of up to Rs. 1 million per acre.
Commissioner Faisalabad Dr. Imran Hamid Sheikh described the occasion as a historic day for Faisalabad, saying that the revolutionary initiative would significantly improve the financial condition of landless farmers. He said the programme would create sustainable employment opportunities, strengthen the rural economy and serve as a milestone in rural development. Providing land to landless farmers, he added, is practical evidence of the Punjab Government’s people-friendly vision. He also thanked the Senior Member Board of Revenue Punjab for attending the ceremony.Members of the Provincial Assembly and PML-N leaders said the Punjab Government is effectively implementing farmer-friendly policies and that the “Apna Khet, Apna Rozgar” Programme will enhance agricultural production and strengthen the rural economy. They stated that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif is taking historic measures for the welfare of farmers and that the initiative will provide dignified livelihoods to thousands of deserving families. They emphasized that agriculture is the backbone of Pakistan’s economy and that farmers’ prosperity is essential for national development.They also noted that the programme will encourage young people to join the agricultural sector.
The beneficiary farmers expressed their gratitude to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, describing the programme as a new ray of hope for landless farming families.
