A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Commissioner Sahiwal Division to review the performance of the PSAP program and the Municipal Corporation.

Commissioner Sahiwal Division Shoaib Iqbal Syed directed to immediately remove obstacles in the carpeting of Pakpattan Road. The carpeting of this important inter-district highway should be completed on priority basis so that the travel problems of the people can be eliminated. The Highway Department and PSAP officials should improve mutual communication and remove obstacles on a daily basis, the Commissioner directed. He was presiding over a meeting to review the performance of the PSAP program and the Municipal Corporation in his office here, in which CEO Sahiwal Waste Management Company Iftikhar Ahmed, Additional Commissioner Coordination Dr. Saifullah Bhatti, Director Development Dr. Safdar Hussain, Director Local Government Shahid Farooq Warraich, Chief Officer Corporation Sheikh Ashfaq Ahmed, AC General Rai Faisal Imran, City Manager PSAP Muhammad Asjad Khan and other concerned officers participated. He expressed displeasure over the slowness in the work of laying sewer lines and directed to impose fine on the contractors and said that all the work should be completed as per the timeline. Chief Officer Sheikh Ashfaq Ahmed said that an operation against encroachments is underway in Liaquat Chowk while the process of shifting electric poles on the High Street is also being started. He also suggested increasing the number of traffic police to deal with the Eid shopping rush. City Manager PSAP Muhammad Asjad Khan said that the work of installing electric poles on Farid Town Road is underway while curb stones are also being installed.
