A grand ceremony was organized at Montgomery Hall in honor of government officers and officials who rendered outstanding services in the rehabilitation and relief activities of flood victims in Sahiwal district, which was presided over by Deputy Commissioner Sahiwal Shahid Mahmood, where officers and officials were given certificates of appreciation and shields for their outstanding performance during the Flood Relief Activities 2025. The ceremony was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner General Niaz Ahmed Mughal, Chief Executive Officer Health Dr. Abdul Majeed Niazi, Chief Executive Officer Education Tanveer Ahmed Ghazali, District Health Officer Dr. Muhammad Tahir Chaudhry and officers and officials of the health department. Deputy Commissioner Shahid Mahmood said in his address that natural disasters are a test of the morale of nations and the strength of the system and the Sahiwal administration demonstrated solidarity, responsibility and professionalism and ensured timely assistance to the flood victims. He said that the officers working in the field worked day and night to bring glory to the administration and win the hearts of the people. He further said that as per the instructions of the Punjab government, complete transparency and effective supervision were ensured in every stage of relief activities and assistance was delivered to the affected families without any delay. The Deputy Commissioner clarified that public service is the main objective of our position and the district administration will continue to work with the same spirit of service in the future as well. At the end of the ceremony, Deputy Commissioner Shahid Mahmood distributed certificates of appreciation and shields among the officers for their outstanding performance and appreciated their services.
