Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar Meets UN General Assembly President, Stresses UN Reform and Regional Stability Concerns

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, met today with Philémon Yang, President of the United Nations General Assembly.

During the meeting, Senator Ishaq Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening global governance, pushing for UN Security Council reform, and promoting multilateralism. He expressed Pakistan’s serious concerns regarding India’s aggressive posturing, disinformation campaigns, and violations of the Indus Waters Treaty (IWT), emphasizing that these actions threaten regional peace and stability.
