Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir visits Quetta Garrison, declares peace and prosperity of Balochistan as state’s top priority

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Nishan-e-Imtiaz (Military), Hilal-e-Jurat, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, visited Quetta Garrison.
According to ISPR, during the visit the Field Marshal met with commanders and commanding officers of field formations. The COAS & CDF was given a comprehensive briefing on the prevailing security situation, operational preparedness and ongoing measures to maintain peace and stability across Balochistan.
The briefing also reviewed matters related to institutional coordination and support for the socio-economic development of the province.
On the occasion, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir lauded the high standards of professional competence, operational readiness and selfless commitment of the troops. He emphasized the importance of sustained coordination among law enforcement agencies and other state institutions to consolidate peace and maintain an environment conducive to sustainable economic activity and development.
The Field Marshal reiterated that the peace, prosperity and well-being of the people of Balochistan is at the core of the state’s efforts. He stressed that a stable and secure environment will continue to promote development initiatives, economic opportunities and better prospects for the people of the province.
The COAS & CDF paid rich tribute to the sacrifices of the martyrs and appreciated the steadfastness of officers and soldiers in the discharge of their duties.
Upon arrival in Quetta, the COAS & CDF was warmly received by Commander Quetta Corps.
