RPO Rawalpindi and Commissioner Review Security Arrangements for Chehlum Procession in Attock

ATTOCK: Regional Police Officer (RPO) Rawalpindi Region Babar Sarfraz Alpa, accompanied by Rawalpindi Division Commissioner Salman Ghani, visited Attock district to review the security arrangements for the central Chehlum procession of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) in Attock City.

During the visit, they were accompanied by District Police Officer (DPO) Attock Sardar Mowar Khan, Deputy Commissioner Attock Dr. Mudassar Ahmad Shah, SP Investigation Zainab Ayub, and other concerned officials.

The RPO and the Commissioner inspected the procession route, entry and exit points, sensitive locations, and security checkpoints to assess the preparedness of law enforcement agencies.

They directed the concerned authorities to ensure strict surveillance of all streets and roads adjoining the procession route. Officials were instructed that no individual should be allowed entry without thorough security screening and that all police officers and personnel deployed on duty must remain on high alert throughout the event to ensure the safety of participants and maintain law and order.

The visiting officials emphasized that comprehensive security measures have been put in place to facilitate the peaceful observance of Chehlum and reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to protecting the lives and property of citizens.
