PMA to Hold International Medical Conference in Lahore May 2026

PMA Announces Three-Day International Medical Conference in Lahore from May 15

The meeting of the Organizing Committee of the International Medical Conference to be held by the Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) Lahore from 15–17 May 2026 was held at PMA House Lahore under the chairmanship of Conference Chairman Professor Ashraf Nizami.

Important decisions were taken in the meeting to organize the conference in a historic manner and make it successful.

The meeting was attended by Professor Dr Shahid Malik, President PMA Lahore, Dr Izhar Ahmed Chaudhry, Central President PMA Center, Dr Tanveer Anwar, Dr Javed Iqbal Chaudhry, Dr Wajid Ali, Dr Bushra Haq, Dr Irum Shahzadi, Dr Nader Khan, Dr Shahid Shahab, Dr Azhar Masood Bhatti, Dr Ahmed Naeem Akhtar, and Dr Maryam Fatima.

According to the details, this three-day International Medical Conference will be held at a local hotel in Lahore.

Apart from national delegates, the conference will also be attended by senior representatives of international medical organizations, including experts from China, World Medical Association (WMA), Confederation of Medical Associations in Asia and Oceania, Central Asian countries, South Africa, United Arab Emirates, and member countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

These delegates will share their academic experiences and modern medical research with participants.

The meeting also decided that three important seminars on maternal and child health, EPI, TB and AIDS will be organized during the conference.

These sessions will highlight major health challenges faced by the country and present practical suggestions to address them.

Furthermore, fifteen pre-conference workshops will be held in different teaching hospitals of Lahore.

Dr Shahid Shahab has been nominated as the focal person for organizing these workshops.

These workshops aim to equip medical experts and young doctors with modern techniques and skills.

The team of PMA’s globally recognized medical journal JPMA will also organize a special workshop on Paper Writing.

The organizing committee has appealed to all participants and medical professionals to ensure full participation in this important international event and benefit from this academic session.
